Forum Overview

Facing the rapid development of AI, industrial transformation, ecological sustainability, and other global trends, education is at a pivotal point of profound change.

The core literacies fostered by aesthetic education—perceptive awareness, empathy, communication & collaboration, creative practice—not only are key abilities to face change, but also the foundation for enabling people to build a fulfilling life and a sustainable society. From talent nurturing, curriculum implementation, learning environment, international linkages, to support systems, the Ministry of Education promotes the deepening and dissemination of aesthetic education in Taiwan across five major dimensions.

To echo this vision, the Ministry of Education has commissioned the Aesthetic Education Research Laboratory for the Asia-Pacific region to organize the “2025 Aesthetic Education International Forum.” Under the theme “Aesthetics as Life: Local Practices and International Dialogue in the Intersection of Technology & Humanities,” the forum emphasizes the deep connection between aesthetic education and everyday life, exploring how technology and humanities co-construct future educational possibilities.
