As the scope of teaching and learning continues to expand, how can learning environments respond to the demands of innovative teaching models and propose appropriate solutions? Through design thinking, teachers and students are no longer passive recipients of change but become active participants in designing and discussing their needs. The co-creative process, where space and curriculum mutually inspire each other, fosters a sense of ownership among teachers and students, transforming it into learning interest and motivation, cultivating resilience for the future, and further promoting a positive cycle of educational innovation and the continuous evolution of learning environments.

With 20 years of experience in the design field, she has worked to bridge public and private resources through design, creating value for society and education. She has led projects such as the Taiwan Design Expo and Taiwan Creative Expo, promoting design in daily life. In recent years, she focuses on public service and education innovation, fostering collaboration between schools and designers to improve learning environments and human-centered experiences.

LCC ARCHITECTURE

Architect Li Chia-Chen, principal of Li Chia-Chen Architects, is dedicated to the design of educational spaces for public projects, with a focus on integrating aesthetic practice, ecological sustainability, and the spirit of place. Her works emphasize locality and user needs, employing natural materials and spatial strategies to respond to social contexts and environmental issues. In recent years, she has completed multiple campus-related projects, including the Guangxing Elementary School Agro-Education Classroom in Changhua, the covered corridor reconstruction at Luodong Chenggong Elementary School, and the Huafarm Ecological Observation Deck, among others. The “Huafarm Ecological Observation Deck” received the 2024 Golden Pin Design Award and the Taipei Design Award (Merit).
