The Journey of Aesthetic Literacy from High School

Event Introduction：

"Aesthetic Education" is the core literacy indicator, but from high school to university, the learning content and expectations have also gradually changed — from basic perception and expression, to further critical thinking and cross-disciplinary application, how should this transition process be understood and connected? This lecture explores the transformation and connection of aesthetic literacy in the educational process, from the cultivation of perception and creativity in high school, extending to the emphasis on critical thinking and cross-disciplinary application in university education.

Professor, Graduate Institute of Arts and Humanities Education, National Taipei University of the Arts, currently serving as acting Academic Vice President and Dean of Academic Affairs. Ph.D. in Education, National Chengchi University, has received a Fulbright Scholarship to conduct postdoctoral research in the United States, and has also served as a high school teacher and Director of the Quality Assurance Department of the Higher Education Evaluation and Accreditation Council, and has won the Ministry of Education's Outstanding Internship Model Award. This time, he will share from the perspective of the education field and system, explore the development strategies and practical experiences of aesthetic literacy from high school to university.

Associate Professor and Dean of Research & Development, Graduate Institute of Arts Administration and Management, Taipei National University of the Arts

Associate Professor, Graduate Institute of Arts Administration and Management, National Taipei University of the Arts, Director of the Research and Development Office, and concurrently serves as a director of the National Performing Arts Center. Long-term involvement in cultural policy, art education, and performing arts development, and active in media commentary and public affairs. This time, he will combine experience from the education field and policy practice to explore the cultivation path of aesthetic literacy from high school to university, and share how to build students' aesthetic understanding and cultural vision at different educational stages.
